I will rejoice and be glad in your steadfast love, because you have seen my affliction; you have known the distress of my soul, and you have not delivered me into the hand of the enemy; you have set my feet in a broad place. —Psalm 31:7,8
God’s love isn’t a flickering candle flame, easily blown out by the wind. It doesn’t shift like a mood ring, nor is it influenced by whether or not you belong to the “in” crowd.
God’s love makes you shout with joy. It settles your soul, keeping you balanced regardless of how the day unfolds.
God’s love is tangible. It sees and responds to your troubles, no matter how insignificant they may seem to others.
God’s love is steadfast. He doesn’t conspire with your adversaries or quietly support schemes against you.
God’s love guides you through life’s confusion and dangers. He leads you along narrow paths at mountains’ edges and brings you safely to broad, open fields.
God’s love simply is.
